June 9, 2017-Under the Lights Car Show at Baden Volunteer Fire Department

Samuel Longfellow, swept up the top award, “BEST OF SHOW!” at the, “under the lights” show.  His ’66 Chevy Nova was in competition with over 161 other sleek machines!  The late evening picture under the ballfield lights do not pay it justice!  He does a great job keeping it with a mirror finish!  Samuel, Sam Longfellow as he is called, lives in Dunkirk.  His decision to enter his Chevy Nova won the judges decisions for this years’ Baden Volunteer Fire & EMS Department show at Station 836, 16608 Brandywine Road in Baden.  It was their 7th Annual Car, Rat Rod, Truck & Bike Show “under the lights”!

The weather the afternoon and evening for this year’s ‘under the lights’ was perfect! The DJ was Bob Hartman’s HardRock’s DJ Service was “Outstanding”!  The mixture of old country and 50’s music under the evening lighting with all of the 161 entries glittering from their rodders special applications and touch! The Baden Volunteer Fire & EMS Department members with the help of the Tri-County’s Cruisers Rod & Custom Car Club volunteers organized a flawless show for the rodders and many public attendees.  The volunteers from both organizations worked to have this outstanding show – it was “hoods and trunks up” to be judged!  Texas Ribs of Clinton served up sumptuous BBQ ribs, burgers, hotdogs and fries!  One of many financial supporters of this show! We witnessed some really neat rods and bikes out there on the field.
